A military scene is portrayed. A regiment of marching soldiers with officers mounted on horses. One officer on a rearing horse has a Napoleonic shaped hat. Another officer on horseback holds a shako in his hand. A canon carriage is on the field. One regiment has a flag that apparently is that of the young U.S. The drop edge is yellow and the scene is in shades of brown, off-white. "Surrender of Cornwallis" is the title.
