National Museum - New Delhi
New Delhi , India

Surya, the Sun God, is standing in samapada on an inverted lotus pedestal, holding stalks of lotuses in both of his hands. He can be seen wearing the northern-style dress, with a kirita-mukuta. To his left is Dandi, holding a staff. Standing on right is an unidentified female figure holding a lotus, she may be Chhaya, the double image of Savarna who is placed there as she could not withstand the glare of Surya. There is a tiny figure of Ushas which is placed between his feet.
