Swami Vivekananda, India 14. This photograph was published for the first time in volume two of Barrows’ history in connection with Swamiji’s talk on “Hinduism” which was given on the ninth day of the parliament, September 19. But to date, there is not sufficient proof that it was taken on that day. ❊ ❊ ❊ The present convention, which is one of the most august assemblies ever held, is in itself a vindication, a declaration to the world of the wonderful doctrine preached in the Gita: “Whosoever comes to Me, through whatsoever form, I reach him; all men are struggling through paths which in the end lead to Me.” (CW [1984] 1:4)
