Horizontal, rectangular piece. Plant design with crowns stenciled in gold on a blue background with different shades of color. Selvages retained to the sides.

Fortuny design inspired by the rich Baroque Italian velvets of the 17th century, produced for tapestries. Here, Fortuny has taken artistic license and arranged the design horizontally whereas the cloth is actually quite narrow. The result is a cloth with so many different shades of color that it looks like a painting.
