T. G. Masaryk’s presidential standard. Canvas print. This collection item has a very interesting history behind it. After the death of Jan Masaryk, T. G. Masaryk’s son and Czechoslovak minister of foreign affairs (on March 10, 1948, right after the communist coup), the coffin with his remains was placed in the mortuary of the Lány cemetery. The residents of Lány had this standard made and wrapped Jan Masaryk’s coffin in it.
