Thank you letter from President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) to The Union League of Philadelphia for their support of his foreign policy. President Wilson served as the 28th President of the United States, and was President during America's involvement in World War I. The Union League of Philadelphia, a patriotic society founded in 1862 to support Abraham Lincoln and the Union during the American Civil War, was at this time widely considered one of the most important Republican organizations in the country, and this letter demonstrates a rare, bipartisan gesture to support the nation during the greatest crisis since the Union League’s founding during the American Civil War.

This is the letter that the Union League of Philadelphia sent to Woodrow Wilson, supporting his efforts in World War 1.
