Tabernacle veil belonging to a crimson grosgrain ornament embroidered with flowers, made in France for the less solemn days, part of the church vestments collection ordered by King João V in France and Italy to solemnize the ceremonies in the Royal Basilica of Mafra.
These church vestments were, by specific determination of the King, embroidered in gold colored silk thread and not in real gold thread as they were intend to a Franciscan Convent, subject to a vow of poverty.
