This print is part of Hiroshige's series "Famous Views of Kyoto". Landscape print series were a mainstay of Hiroshige's work in his later life. Some, such as this series, were small, while others included over 100 images, such as his series "100 Famous View of Edo" (now modern-day Tokyo).
