The blade is in shape of an inverted triangle. Plaited commencement at centre base of the blade. Woven out in check. Patara (serrated) edges across all edges of the blade. Natural colour overall. Blade is attached to a shaped mauranga rakau and lashed at the centre base of the blade with puru akari. The lashing continues to wrap around the centre and top of the blade.
