Tani (Hanger)

A hanger of this type was called a tani in Jaisalmer. Two elaborately carved wooden supports (with eyelets at the lower end) were fixed into the lime washed wooden beams in the ceiling from which the tani was suspended. Bamboo was used to make this tani.
