Tarangini Veena, a plucked string instrument, is made out of Nandi wood and does not have a large resonator. The use of magnetic pickup negates the necessity of the acoustic resonator. The frets are fixed on the wooden board which ensure weather resistance and eliminates the need for frequent melam. The pegs are dispensed with Guitar keys to ensure shruti stability. This Veena has excellent melody with sustenance and continuity of nada.
