St. James' Cake is a traditional Galician dessert. Its distinctive mixture—made up mainly of almonds, sugar, and eggs—contains no flour. It is easily recognizable thanks to the Cross of Santiago sprinkled in icing sugar on top. Although it can be found outside of the Galician community, it is most commonly sold in the patisseries along the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago).
