Fukuoka-ken, Japan

This tea utensil set is made of shakudo (alloy of gold and copper). Each piece has the Tokugawa shogun family crest. From this, this set is considered to be one of the pieces of the wedding trousseau owned by Princess Sumi. She came from the Tayasu Tokugawa family as a bride of the 12th lord of the Yanagawa domain, Tachibana Akitomo.
Until recent years, the Tachibana family had used it at the ceremony of offering tea to the deities of Mihashira-jinja Shrine.
