Swatch

Vertical, rectangular hanging made by joining together three vertically arranged fragments. The two side pieces are identical, with a purple background with different shades of color and a plant design in pinks and yellows. The central fragment has a background with different shades of beige decorated with three vertical crowns in silver, and the seams are decorated with green fringes. It is lined with a beige supporting fabric. On the back, 11 loops are attached at the top for hanging.

The central cloth is inspired by a 16th century Spanish design in silk damask. The identical side pieces replicate Baroque designs, with large fleshy leaves forming a vertical, undulating pattern.
