Soviet occupation, 1939; move by train to Mogilev-Podolski; life in Mogilev-Podolski; her father is the manager of a bakery; education; receives a license; move to Vilna, May 1941; German occupation, June 1941; restrictions on the Jews including yellow badge and deportation of men to forced labor; her father hides the valuables; Lithuanian cooperation with the Germans; concentration in the local prison; pays a bribe to a guard and escape to the Vilna Ghetto; school activities and workshops in the ghetto; activities of the Judenrat and Jewish police; life in hiding in various places; kidnapping of children; receives camouflaged letters from her grandfather and grandmother; murder of her grandparents in Ponary; cultural activities and singing in a choir; deportation of her father to Estonia and the contact with her father is lost; deportation on a train to Kaiserwald; camp life including forced labor; transfer in a train to Stutthoff; camp life; evacuation of the camp and transfer in a death march; retreat of the Germans; liberation in Putzig by the Red Army, March 1945.
