The analysis of proportional averages recorded by Giorgio Valla resurfaces, as a translation into Italian, in this sheet of the Codex Arundel. The passage is closely related to another fragment in Italian (not autograph), again concerning the doubling of the cube, contained in the Codex Atlanticus (ff. 395 and 686).
