The Adumu damce - tramsition to manhood

During the long festival of Eunoto (transition to manhood) the bouncing Adumu dance forms a competition among the Maasai moran (warrior) eager to display their strength, courage & endurance in a process that will ultimately determine their status in the manyatta (homestead) and later as junior elders. Kenya’s renowned photojournalist Mohamed (Mo) Amin, also known as ‘Six Camera Mo’, produced a comprehensive pictorial record of these remarkable people entitled “The Last of the Maasai”.
