Printed account of the ballot box protest and the trial of Mrs. Chapin and Miss Neilanas at the Central Criminal Court. In 1909 suffragist Alison Neilans used ammonia to spoil ballot papers at the Bermondsey by-election. She was tried at the Old Bailey and sentenced to three months' imprisonment. This pamphlet is an account of her defence on the stand during her trial.
