Formerly Bishop Hall's Palace, the Dolphin Inn was built in around 1587 and possibly incorporates earlier features. The building was severely damaged during the 'Baedeker' raids on Norwich in spring 1942. Despite the destruction of features, including a 17th century plaster ceiling, the building was secured and restored.
