The reinforced carbon-carbon nose cap has been installed on Endeavour in Orbiter Processing Facility bay 2 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The nose cap has been insulated with thermal protection system blankets made of a woven ceramic fabric. The special blankets help insulate the vehicle's nose cap and protect it from the extreme temperatures it will face during a mission. Photo credit: NASA/Jim Grossmann
