The central opening of a gold-thread embroidered bed-tent. From Patmos or Kos, in the Dodecanese. Among the diverse ornamental scenes is the figure of a woman in her home at the highest point of the embroidery; as in many other instances the symbolism of this scene is now lost. 17th-18th c.
