The Conductor (Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi)

Rashaad Newsome expanded on his Midnight Moment of the same name, which highlights the most epic contributors to the hip hop genre, by staging two flash concerts in Times Square featuring recording artists he considers to be the next generation of hip hop: Crystal Caines and Cakes Da Killa. Unannounced and fleeting, the performances (on September 22 and September 28, just before midnight) were an activation of the work on the screens.
