Repeat design of a scroll on which appear the words "The Constitution must be preserved," with laurel branches resting on a rock, on a background sprinkled with stars. Printed in brown, tan and pink on an ivory ground. Printed in support of the Constitutional Union Party's presidential candidate, John Bell, in 1860. The Republican Party's candidate, Abraham Lincoln, was elected. During his campaign, Lincoln delivered an effective political speech at Cooper-Union, Feb. 27, 1860.
