The Crucible Theatre, Tudor Square, Sheffield

Built between 1969 and 1971, the Crucible Theatre was designed by Nicholas Thompson and Robin Benyon of Renton Howard Wood Associates, in association with theatre designer Tanya Moiseiwitsch. It is one of the most innovative and successful regional theatres and is renowned as the venue for the World Snooker Championships.
