Third chapel on the right. Death of Saint Andrew Avellino. 1731 Painting by Tagliasacchi, moved here by the Comune di Fidenza. It is deemed one of the best paintings of the artist. The saint, suffering from apoplexy before the altar at the beginning of the Mass, is collapsing with his vestment supported by a cleric and an angel. The scene is full of lyricism and spirituality, expressed also by the moderate tone of the colours and the calm of the characters.
