A museum dedicated to Nkrumah’s life built behind the mausoleum. It is painted in white with its sides covered in marble. The front view has an elaborate depiction of a gathering. The design incorporates traditional Ghanaian Adinkra symbols combined with a visible Egyptian influence.

At the top of the museum is a three-faced head which carries an eagle wearing a five-pointed star which signifies wisdom and unity in strength. Nkrumah’s vision of Africa was for a United States of Africa.
The walls are banded at the top and base with Adinkra symbols. On the left hand side is a figure holding a sword with the blade facing upwards. Next to him are three people blowing horns and two people facing each other holding a linguist staff with the Sankofa Adinkra symbol on top. Also depicted are two people carrying bowls and three guards with spears and shields.
