With employees walking alongside, the external tank atop its transporter turns the corner from the Vehicle Assembly Building toward the Turn Basin and the Banana River. The tank will be loaded onto the waiting barge and transferred to the Michoud Space Systems Assembly Facility near New Orleans where redesign of the external tank is underway for Return to Flight.
