First polish banknote of the Kościuszko Uprising; in circulation from 18th August to 6th November, 1794 Issue date: June 8, 1794; series and number: A 968. The banknote was printed on handmade paper from the Netherlands. Thousand zlotys banknotes were printed in a circulation of 1000 copies.
Obverse: at the top, symbols of freedom in the center. Above, on the left, the Eagle and on the right, Pogoń, and the text of the resolution. Dark brown graphics and text - copperplate, security signs: on the left side the letter B (polish: bilet - ticket) and on the right side the letter S (polish: skarbowy - Treasury), lighter paper around the letters, a broken stamp of the dry seal of the Treasury Ticket Directorate in the center between the letters: Freedom, Whole, Independence. The signatures and the consecutive number of the banknote are marked by hand in ink. The whole is closed with a walnut and brown border - woodcut.
