The Five Gods of the Temple

The five gods of the temple: Kwan Kung, the God of War and Justice; Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy; the Canton City god; Choi Sun, the God of Wealth; and Tien Ho, the Queen of Heaven. As you look at the altar, note the relative positions of the five gods. Kwan Yin is in the middle, Kwan Kung is to her right, and Tien Ho is on her left. Choi Sun and the Canton City god flank the trio. The original statues of Kwan Yin and the Canton City God have been replaced with facsimiles. On display at the Chinese American Historical Museum at the Ng Shing Gung, History Park.
