The harvest (Lumiar)

Considered one of Silva Porto’s most emblematic works, the painting shows a wheat field just after harvest, a symbol of the Portuguese countryside. The field opens up into the immensity of the blue horizon. The sky is blue and iridescent, rendered through the interplay light and shadow.
