"These rosettes are made of ribbons of velvet, silk, thread, or cotton, in every color and in different widths. Marguerite rosettes, either used individually or sewn together or applied to fabrics, are intended for dressing collars, sleeves, bonnets, mantelets, berthas, wimples, hat trims, umbrellas, dresses, petticoats, and other elements of a lady's toilette."
