Los Angeles, United States

After the two witnesses have finished prophesying, a blue-faced, red-eyed beast with a tail and cloven hooves rises from an abyss, wielding a giant scimitar to kill them. Although not explicitly described as such in the text, the label antixp[christ]e above both representations of the beast identifies it as the Antichrist in the miniature. On the right, Saint John bends down to view the murder, peering through an opening in the frame.
