Modern progress has a way of knocking down, knocking out the "small guy." As Charlotte continues to experience growing pains some of her most iconic places are slowly disappearing. The dive bar "Thirsty Beaver Saloon," home to many a struggling young musician, is not down or out. Its persistence against towering neighbors is admirable and legendary.
