The NSW Baseball Association forms and plays their inaugural match at the ACG. This booklet was produce to spread awareness of the rules of baseball during the AG Spalding tour of Australia by the Chicago White Sox and All-America teams in 1888-89. The author, Harry J Simpson came to Australia with the tour and stayed on to play a major role in the establishment of early baseball competitions in Australia.
