Top: "The drawing-room of this duplex apartment has blue-green walls, with touches of gold on the cornice, and the curtains are of green damask, over blue taffeta under-curtains. On the floor is a beautiful Savonnerie rug in light gray, rose, and green. A mirror is set between the windows. The Louis XV furniture is covered with pale green damask." Bottom: "In the drawing-room is an eight-fold Chinese screen of black lacquer elaboratelt decorated, which stands behind a Régence needlepoint sofa. Near the entrance is an eighteenth-century black and gold lacquer table with Chinese decoration, formerly in the collection of the Duke of Beaufort. The ballroom may be seen through the door."
