The Park, Faringdon Road, Swindon

Established as a cricket and recreation ground for Great Western Railway employees in 1844, it was landscaped to create a park and gardens between 1871 and 1872. Additions included a promenading path, flower beds, glasshouses and a lodge. A drill hall was also added to the north-west corner of the site.
