The sitting room and office area in a show flat at the Barbican Estate, City of London

This photograph, taken for the John Laing construction company, shows the sitting room and office area in a show flat in an unidentified block at the Barbican Estate. The estate was built between 1961 and 1982 on an area that had suffered severe bomb damage during the Second World War. Designed by architects Chamberlin, Powell & Bon, John Laing and Son Ltd was engaged to construct several 'Phases' of the development.
