The War Office extension in Victoria Embankment Gardens, Westminster, Greater London

Taken from Hungerford Bridge, this Bedford Lemere & Co photograph shows the War Office extension building in Victoria Embankment Gardens. The War Office had taken over the Hotel Cecil, seen here in the background, as offices for the Air Board, and a two-storey range was built to provide still more office space.
