This draft incorporates small changes suggested by Harry Hopkins and includes an insert (marked “A”) on the final page where Hopkins’s suggested sentence (“With confidence in our armed forces—with the unbounding determination of our people—we will gain the inevitable triumph—so help us God.”) would be added. The only other significant change in this draft is FDR’s handwritten additions of new locations where the Japanese had attacked—Hong Kong, Wake Island, and Midway Island. Master Speech File.
