This photo shows the floor grid in the KSC RLV Hangar and the blue lines representing the outline of an orbiter. Various pieces of Columbia debris lay in different parts of the grid. The Columbia Reconstruction Project Team is attempting to identify the debris and reconstruct the orbiter as part of the investigation into the accident that caused the destruction of Columbia and loss of its crew as it returned to Earth on mission STS-107.
