In the early 18th century, the so-called Kokiyomizu tri-colored (blue, green and gold) decorative ware was established. At Awataguchi influential potteries produced traditional ceramic ware that was mostly Kokiyomizu style to orders from Shoguns, the Imperial Court and Daimyo families.
