Puppet "wayang kulit", the island of Java. Figure Javanese shadow theater as a wide range of leather decorated with perforations in which there is shown at the bottom of a character holding two wings in their hands. It has elephant head (with trunk and tusk) and four arms. At the top it is shown a being with a snake's body and two dragon heads on the ends, and a large green head above. At the bottom there is an inscription engraved in the leather.
For ten centuries, waiang developed both in the royal courts of Java and Bali as in rural areas. The "Dalang" or puppeteer narrated stories and sang, using different voices for each character.
