This is considered to be a piece of the wedding furniture. The lid and stand of the tea bowl has a Maki-e design on the aventurine lacquer ground. It depicts pine tree motif, four-petal flowers in the hexagonal patterns and crests with sprinkled gold and silver powders. The crests represent two different kinds of peonies. While the tin tea bowl has hairline engravings of peony crests in three places.
