Fragment of undyed glazed cotton ground fabric, embroidered in dark-blue silk floss with an inscription band comprising of Quranic content, a caliphal dedication and date. The calligraphic style is characterized by a relatively low base line with tall letter stems and pronounced cursive letter terminals below the base line. A second smaller inscription runs above the main inscription.
