To Collect

The notion of refuge, usually understood as a space created to overcome extreme conditions, should nowadays include poor economical situations and collective needs as such. What we are proposing is a new static frame for the refuge as a place to feel safe and to display personal or even community heritage with pride. The studio understands objects as a basic need of human beings while reflecting on the throwaway culture associated with them. Simple dry construction in wood and metal sheets previously cut in the workshop is proposed in order to be e�cient and allow its assembly and dismantling in a short period of time. The act of appropriating the space is understood as a performance in which the public and building play on it. Thus, the user and structure interact in very different manifestations.
