Ornament used to adorn the Torah scrolls. Donated in memory of Janina Landau Schlesinger and Hugo Schlesinger. Its function is not merely ornamental, rather it signifies that the Torah scroll is being used for the Torah reading. It is composed of four interchangeable plates that represent the various Jewish festivities. Silver Tas: the Tablets of the Law are featured in the center, flanked by two lions, and a crown is depicted in the uppermost part. In the lower part, three bells adorn the lower part, one on each side and another one in the center.
