Fragment of a marble sculpture of Pomona, the goddess of fruit, fruit trees, gardens, orchards, olive trees and vineyards. Found in the residential area of Tarraco, it is a typical decorative sculpture from a luxury Roman villa and a Roman creation based on different Greek originals. It is almost identical to two other examples, one in the Vatican and another in Florence.
It may have been imported.
