This tournament cup is a very rare object made by the cives orafi (city goldsmiths). The octagonal base is totally covered by enamels with chivalry themes, very popular in the 14th century. As a scene with a tournament or the meeting of Tristan and Isolde spied by king Mark, whose face is reflected in a fountain water. The lid is also decorated by enamels and there are dogs and rabbits.
