Town Hall Theatre, Shanklin

Black and white postcard showing the Town Hall Theatre, also known as the Shanklin Theatre, in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The site of the current theatre formerly hosted an Institute and Reading Room for the people of Shanklin, which became the Town Hall in 1913. A serious fire occurred in 1925, and the building was reconstructed, opening in 1934. This is the building in the postcard and the one that can be seen today.
