A successful NASCAR driver, Mark Marin began his racing career at the age of 15 on a dirt track in Arkansas driving a car that his father had built for him. By the time he was 18 in 1977, he earned the title of Rookie of the Year in the American Speed Association (ASA). Martin switched to the elite NASCAR circuit in 1981, coming in second for NASCAR's Rookie of the Year in 1982. With a brief return to ASA, Martin continued to race on the NASCAR circuit for two decades. He has won more NASCAR Busch Series races than anyone in the series' history and has 34 career Winston/Nextel cup victories. Martin is the author of "NASCAR for Dummies."
